Body & Sole will have been open for 10 years on Thursday 9th June 2011, l can't quite believe it has gone by as quick as it has! It has taken 10 years to make Body & Sole what it is today and we really are proud to reach this milestone! We will be celebrating with a drinks party on Thursday 9/6/2011 from 4-8pm at the salon and would like to invite you all to join us, there will be demonstrations of treatments and skin scanning on the night and a raffle in aid of our specially chossen anniversary charity 'Verity' the UK based charity for women whose lives are affected by Polyscystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). We are now fully operational with IPL - Hair Removal treatments. It has taken a little longer than we anticipated to get everything set up but now we're raring to go! Both Emma and I are ready to take bookings for consultations to disusss IPL - Hair Removal with anyone that's interested and if suitable to go ahead with the treatment and patch tests. We've been busy getting our price list ready and updating our website so please visit our IPL page and read more about it.
We are holding an IPL Information Evening on Tuesday 22nd Febuary at the salon from 4pm–8pm as we appreciate that people want to find out exactly what IPL - Hair Removal is and how it may work for you. Due to safety reasons we can not operate the machine on the night, but there will be a presentation on IPL - Hair Removal and some special offers available.

On Tuesday 19th October, Sarah was asked by Chichester College to attend a workshop with students studying the Level 1 Diploma in Hair and Beauty Studies and talk to the students who are all 14-16 about my role in my business and what is expected of a therapist in a salon enviroment.

November see's the month of MOvember! Raising funds and awareness for men's health! The Mo Sistas here at Body & Sole are proud to be supporting the Mo bros taking part in MOvember! in te way of our men's night and shave off party! Try shave mapping for the men or face mapping for the ladies! We will also be demonstrating 'shaving' with the Dermalogica 'Shave' products and helping to remove the mo's for all the men who have taken part in 'MOvember! There will also be some special entertainment and a raffle in aid of MOvember- raising funds and awareness for men's health! Friday 29th October is 'Wear it Pink' Day at Body & Sole we will be 'wearing it pink' all day in the salon and are asking anyone visiting us on this day to 'wear it pink' to! Last year we raised £200 in the salon through our 'pink raffle', pink manicures's and pink cake sale! We will be holding another pink raffle and pink cake sale on Friday 29th October. August sees the New Body & Sole website go live! It has taken a while but its finally here! The new website complete's our new branding and refurbishment which has been ongoing for the past few months.
The new website incorporates the new interior with photos taken by Amanda D'rcy and styled by Juliet Pick of Pad Interiors who was involved in stylling the new look salon. The new site features special offers only available online and a new online bookings system linked to our salon diary so you can now make appointments 24 hours a day!
The new website is also linked up to social media so please see our facebook and twitter pages through the links at the bottom of the homepage!

Hot off the press, from 26th July 2010 we have a new therapist here at Body & Sole. Kelly Morgan joins Body & Sole full-time from Chichester college, having just qualified in HND in Health & Beauty Management.

Sunday 18th July was the Portsmouth Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research UK and Emma and I took part in the 5K event on Southsea common. It was an amazing day with live music and a warm up amongest thousands of women all in pink!
The event then commenced at 11am as thousands of people were set off by the Mayor of Portsmouth and then took us along the common and onto the seafront which we were blown along a little! Then back to the common where we received our medals as we finished.
The event was well attended with even a marching all girl brass band dressed in pink also taking part! We raised £120 for Cancer Research between us through our sponsorship from clients and friends.
